1. Do you provide samples

   Samples are free if visiting the www.corian.co.uk website

2. Are there different finish options

   There are three types of countertop finishes: matte, semigloss and gloss. All Corian sinks have the matte finish.

3. Can a Corian top be repaired if damaged?

   Thankfully yes, Corian tops are easily maintained or at worst repaired

4. How do I clean Corian worktops

   Regularly clean your surfaces with a damp cloth. Dry-off worktops to avoid dull patches appearing where hard water and soap residues may have been left behind during daily use. A light neutral (PH7) detergent may be safely added.
   
   Avoid the use of abrasive cleaners or scour pads. A spray cleaner, which can be applied to surfaces to clean and maintain the surface shine

5. Can I use Corian in a bathroom

   Yes works well as a shower wall instead of tiles

6. I don't see the Corian colour that I want

   The colours on our calculator are the ones guaranteed by Du Pont, additional Corian colours are available but may require a disclaimer against complaints for scratching

7. Do you supply only

   Yes, though you are required to Du Pont Corian trained and certificated before we are able to supply to you

8. How do I care for Corian

   Routine daily care and maintenance of Corian(r) is easy. But, because cleaning practices differ around the world, Soapy water or ammonia-based cleaners will remove most dirt and stains from all types of finishes. However, slightly different techniques must be used to remove difficult stains, depending on the finish. Please contact your source for Corian(r) for more information.

9. How accurate is the online estimate

   The end price will be as accurate as your sizes and supplied information.

10. Will Corian work with other textures

    Corian combines well with tile, stainless steel, wood, Corian or glass

11. Are the joints in Corian Worktops apparent?

    Usually not at all though with a lighter colour a keen eye may be able to spot a slight hairline join

12. Is your Corian the same as I've seen elsewhere

    Yes exactly the same, Corian is a product that is manufactured under license and must adhere to the exact production specification. The only difference is the price

13. Why is your Corian so much less than other quotes we've had

    We simply trim the margin and pass the discounts to the customer

14. How does Corian price compare with other solid surfaces?

    Corian has 6 price bands. Based on mid range from both worktop types price will be about equal. In comparison to Corian type material (also available from Unicom) price compares well in Corians favour. As we offer a genuine 35% discount off all material and fabrication costs of your bespoke top it makes Corian a very worthy competitor indeed against all other solid surface types along with the assurance that 30 years of market experience Corian boasts

15. Are all Corian colours the same price

    Corian has 7 price bands A to G with A being the cheapest G being the dearest. If your first quote on our online quote is more than you hoped, simply try another Corian colour.

16. What Corian sink colours do you have

    Several ranges of Corian sinks and bowls are available. There are four standard colours which are available in all ranges. These are Bone, Cameo White, Glacier White and Vanilla. The full range of Corian colours is available in the Trevino range of bowls, and in the Mixa range of sinks. The Mixa sink range incorporates a stainless steel base into the sink.

17. Can I cut and prepare directly on the worktops?

    Cutting foods on the solid surface worktops though possible you are recommended to use a chopping board to prevent scratching.

18. Can I place hot pans on the Corian

    Hot pans should always be placed on pan rests, platters or something similar.

19. What sink do you recommended

    As with any solid surface undermounted sinks will always appear better than an inset option. Most aesthetic would be a Corian moulded sink available in 4 pastel colours. Alternively you could fit a very practical Corian moulded "mixa sink" available in all Corian colours but with a stainless steel base. Other options are of course Ceramic or stainless steel
